Where’s Google Making Its Money?

Always wanted to know what the most expensive PPC Keywords on Google are, then now you can. A study recently conducted by WordStream have been researching what the most high volume and primarily as a result the most expensive categories for keywords in Google AdWords. As Google’s revenue comes from advertising, these keywords are fundamentally the foundations of Google.

On July 14th Google announced their Quarter 2 earnings for 2011, which was up 32% from last year, bringing their total earning to just over $9 billion dollars. These Paid Clicks increased 18% from Q2 last year, while the cost per click has gone up 12% since then. In the past 4 quarters alone Google have managed to bring in $32.2 billion in total advertising spend – not bad going!
