Social Media Means Big Business – Still Think It’s A Fad?

More and more businesses are now utilising social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook, as they come to realise it is another way in which they can reach and communicate with their clients and customers.

The infographic below looks at which Fortune 100 companies are using and participating in social media. The study found that Twitter is the social media platform of choice among the Fortune Global 100 organisations. Although depending upon region, the platform preferences differ. Companies in the US and Europe are more likely to be using Facebook and Twitter than they were to have corporate blogs. In comparison firms from Asia-Pacific are more likely to utilise corporate blogs than other forms of social media.

Although your business may not been as big as the Fortune 100 companies, you still need to be using social media marketing to communicate with your audience and stay relevant.
