Google Welcome The Winter Olympics

12th February 2010 |  Written by Dave Ashworth

I’ve never really had much interest in the Winter Olympics – my knowledge goes as far as Eddie “The Eagle” Edwards falling over (though to be fair he did complete a jump at the 1988 games in Calgary, and I do remember it being on the news) and the theme tune from Ski Sunday.

Still, the Google doodle folk won’t let the opening of this year’s games in Vancouver go without getting one of their logos out there.  This one is a break from the norm in that it spans the whole width of the page:

Great, let the game’s begin.  I will probably watch the bobsleigh to see if they crash.

Oh and my other Winter Games memory is the woman from the Scottish curling team passing a resemblance to Colin Hendry.
