Issac Newton’s Birthday sees the first doodle celebration of the New Year on Google’s Homepage (well, excluding the Happy New Year Logo).

Issace Newton's Birthday - Google Logo

Interestingly, because I’m a HTML geek, this effort sees some AJAX added to the homepage, for what I believe is the first time where logos are concerned, to show an apple falling from the tree.  Following on from the fade in effect introduced at the end of  2009, are Google looking to utilise more client side coding on their home page in 2010, to make it just that bit more interesting?
